Thank you for buying Minek.
You’re one of the first people to use it, and that means a lot to a one-person studio. Here’s how to get set up.
Get started
- Check your email. Polar, our payment provider, sends your receipt with access to your download and license key. If you don’t see it within a few minutes, check your spam folder.
- Download the installer from the link in that email.
- Run the installer. Windows will likely show a blue screen first. See below, it takes two clicks.
- Activate with your license key the first time you open Minek. You need an internet connection for this step. After that, Minek works offline, with a brief license check about every 10 days whenever you’re online.
About the blue “Windows protected your PC” screen
Minek is brand new and built by one independent developer, so Windows doesn’t recognize it yet. That’s how Windows treats new software it hasn’t seen many people install. It’s not a sign that something’s wrong.
Windows protected your PC
Microsoft Defender SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting. Running this app might put your PC at risk.
